Dear colleagues,
Applications will open soon for a fully-funded 3-year Ph.D. position at the University of Padova (IT) Department of Geosciences, on topics related to coastal ecosystems and their biomorphodynamic evolution in response to climate change (provisional title of the Project: “Management strategies for coastal ecosystems in the face of climate change and increasing human pressure”). We are seeking a motivated student interested in improving the current knowledge on the temporal and spatial evolution of biogeomorphic patterns in coastal systems and on the related ecosystem services. We will use a suite of research tools, including field observations through remote sensing techniques and sample collection, laboratory analyses, and process-based modeling. Students with a background in hydrology, hydrodynamics, geosciences, ecology, civil and environmental engineering, and computational sciences are encouraged to apply.
