Session ITS4.34/HS12.10 – Environmental and Water Justice in Climate Adaptation and Mitigation

Climate change deepens existing inequalities — especially for those least responsible and most affected. This session explores how to better account for impacts on water systems of climate adaptation and mitigation efforts, and how to design fair, inclusive, and sustainable solutions that uphold the human rights to a healthy environment and clean water.

We welcome work on:
_Barriers to environmental & water justice
_Community-driven adaptation & equity
_Trade-offs and synergies in climate strategies
