Dear colleagues,

We’d like to draw your attention to this EGU session
HS7.5 – Hydro-meteorological Extremes and Hazards: Vulnerability, Risk, Impacts and Mitigation

Extreme hydro-meteorological events drive many hydrologic and geomorphic hazards, such as floods, landslides and debris flows, which pose a significant threat to modern societies on a global scale.

We gather contributions on hydro-meteorological extremes and induced hazards that address vulnerability analysis, risk estimation, impact assessment, mitigation policies and communication strategies.

We aim at audience in academia, industry and government agencies, to identify the latest developments and ways forward for improving the resilience of communities at local, regional and national scales, and improve the interaction between different entities and sciences. Contributions highlighting successful (and unsuccessful) experiences and inter-disciplinary collaborations are welcome.

The abstract submission is open until January 15, 2025, 13:00 CET at:
https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU25/session/51702

Deadline for support applications on December 2, 2024, hurry up!

Looking forward to seeing you in Vienna!

Best,

the HS7.5 team:
Elena Cristiano,
Francesco Marra, Nadav Peleg, Efthymios Nikolopoulos, Giuliano Di Baldassarre
