The abstract submission deadline to the upcoming AOGS 2026 is next week (23rd January).

You are warmly encouraged to contribute to our session HS11 titled:

Climate Change-induced Risks for Achieving Water Quality Outcomes in Agricultural Catchments: Monitoring, Modelling, and Integrated Management for a Changing Climate.

The session will highlight global interdisciplinary hydro-climatology studies that explore the relationship between changing weather patterns and nutrient losses from agriculture across various spatial/temporal scales.

Topics of interest include:
• The impact of extreme hydrological events on nutrient loss dynamics, and their mobilisation/transport pathways to water bodies
• Scenario-based modelling approaches (simulations/optimisation) for projecting risks of climate-induced nutrient losses
• The role of catchment characteristics in modulating catchment responses to extreme events
• Modelling limitations/uncertainty in investigating annual/seasonal trends, and policy-implementation gaps
• Development of new data-driven frameworks for identifying climate-sensitive pollution hotspots
• Climate-smart adaptation/mitigation strategies for improved agricultural water management
