We are pleased to announce an open PhD position in our research group at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), focusing on carbon fluxes in floodplains near Magdeburg, Germany.
Building on several years of successful field monitoring across multiple floodplain sites, this project aims to deepen our understanding of organic carbon sequestration in floodplains and its relevance as a sink of atmospheric CO2. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and interdisciplinary team and will have the opportunity to contribute to international research on floodplain biogeochemistry.
