UNDERSTANDING RISK AND TRANSFORMATION IN CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEMS
Cornell’s School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of risk as related to infrastructure and the environment. We are seeking an individual who is innovating the theory and practice of risk, resilience, and sustainability in the face of climate change and the interdependence of our critical infrastructure systems. The successful applicant will be expected to:
The position is anticipated to be filled at the Assistant Professor level, although exceptional Associate or Full Professor level candidates are welcome. It is anticipated the successful candidate will begin in August 2022, although alternative arrangements can be made. The candidate will also contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching in the CEE School. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to interact with faculty and students within the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, the College of Engineering, and the Cornell Atkinson Center for a Sustainable Future.
Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae and three brief statements (1-2 pages per statement): (1) a research statement, (2) a teaching statement, and (3) a statement of contributions to diversity.
