Research fellowship opportunity at the HYCLIC research group (University of Palermo, Italy) in conjunction with the hydrology group at the University of Udine (Italy)

Dear all,

we are glad to share with you an upcoming full-time research fellowship available at the hydrology HYCLIC group, Department of Engineering, University of Palermo (Italy), in conjunction with the hydrology group at the Engineering and Architecture Department, University of Udine (Italy), with the following characteristics:

• Duration: 12 months
• Net yearly salary: ⁓26k eur
• Opening application: July 2024
• Topic: assessment of rainfall-related hazards through hydrological physically-based models
• Eligible candidates: PhD graduates with hydrological background, good skills in handling of large spatial datasets, scientific programming (Matlab/R/Python), Linux OS, scientific communication and writing are welcome.
• Location: Palermo (south Italy), as main location, and Udine (north-eastern Italy)

The successful candidate will work in the context of a joint project between Palermo and Udine hydrological research groups to exploit and apply recent developments in the field of hydrology and rainfall-related shallow-mass movements at basin scale through physically-based models.
