We welcome abstracts to the session “Forest-based Climate Change Mitigation Measures: Implications for Hydrology, Ecosystems, and Society (ITS4.30/BG3.46)” at the EGU General Assembly 2026.

The session focuses on how forest mitigation measures influence hydrology, water availability, and social–ecological resilience in a changing climate.

Topics include (but are not limited to):

🔹 Hydrological impacts of forest-based mitigation
🔹 Trade-offs and co-benefits for water and ecosystem services
🔹 Scenario modelling, tools, and decision-support for forest–water management
🔹 Governance and multi-stakeholder perspectives
