Dear Colleagues,

We invite you to submit your abstract to our EGU 2023 session (HS2.4.5) – Stress tests and storylines to understand hydro-climatological extremes

https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU23/session/45172

As you are well aware, the deadline for abstraction submission: 10 January 2023, 1300 CET. Instructions for abstract submission: https://egu23.eu/programme/how_to_submit.html

We warmly welcome your contributions. Detailed info below illustration:

Detailed info:

Stress testing and storyline approaches have been developed recently to better understand systems under extreme conditions. They have been used to create plausible worst-case events or scenarios to understand low likelihood, high impact hydro-climatological extremes (such as floods and droughts). Stress tests and storylines constructed using controlled modelling experiments informed by expert knowledge and used in conjunction with traditional sources of information (such as climate model projections) can be valuable to decision-making. In this session we aim to collate different stress testing and storyline approaches and discuss their usefulness for the hydro-climatological community and practitioners.

Best wishes,

Wilson Chan, Marit van Tiel, Maria Staudinger and Doris Wendt
