Dear All,

I would like to share the message below from Editor-in-Chief Professor Ashish Sharma and his team of Editors about the new direction of Journal of Hydrology X. I hope the journal will be of interest to you and that you will consider submitting to the journal and bringing it to the attention of your peers.

Thanks,

Hoori Ajami

Hello all,

You may already be familiar with Journal of Hydrology-X, which used to be the online version for Journal of Hydrology. Late last year Elsevier decided to change the journal to a Letters type format, providing a discipline specific option to those not happy with publishing in other more generic Letters journals.

The aim of these Letters is to focus not on case studies but new methods or analyses that can shape applications into the future. The constraints are a 4000 word and 4 figure limit, with allowance for supplementary information in case needed. Our hope is to ensure a quick turn-around, which requires your support also in the review process. It is early days so details may evolve as we get feedback on what the community prefers, but please do spread the word around and consider submitting your future works that fit into this Letters format to Journal of Hydrology X (https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/journal-of-hydrology-x).

JoH-X has a team of 4 Editors in addition to me – Elena Volpi (Uni Roma, Italy), Conrad Wasko (Uni Melbourne, Australia), Jiping Jiang (SUSTECH, China) and Hoori Ajami (UC Riverside, USA). We are banking on your support, especially if you have been frustrated by the lack of hydrological know-how in your submissions to the generic Letters options this has been developed to provide an alternative to. Thank you!

All the best,

Ashish Sharma
