Reaching out to all tinkering hydrologists. Getting data, be it from the field, lab or some remote server, is hard and often requires 'hacks':
The MacGyver session is the 'Show and Tell' EGU Poster session where people show the devices they've build, the solutions they have tinkered, to get the data they need for their research. Please submit your own tinkering work to share you valuable insights with the community.
Remember that if you already present your results in another session, you may not be first author on a second abstract, but the lab technician or field colleague that helped make everything work certainly can (regardless of who is 'presenting author'')
Looking forward to seeing you, and your hacks, in Vienna in 2026!
on behalf of the MacGyver team,
Rolf Hut
