Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the conveners, I would like to invite you to submit an abstract to our AGU Fall Meeting 2026 session: Best Practice in Incorporating Place-Based Citizen Science into Broader Hydrological Research

This session is organized by SmartPhones4Water (S4W) in collaboration with Royal Holloway, University of LondonThe University of Queensland, and TU Delft. The AGU Fall Meeting will take place in San Francisco, California, USA, from December 7–11, 2026.

The session aims to bring together researchers and practitioners working at the intersection of citizen science and hydrology to share best practices, innovative approaches, lessons learned, and emerging opportunities for integrating place-based citizen science into broader hydrological research.

If your work aligns with this theme, we would be pleased to receive your abstract. We would also appreciate it if you could share this invitation with colleagues, students, and collaborators who may be interested.

The deadline for abstract submission is August 5, 2026.
