Dear AboutHydrology group,

This is Zixin, a PhD researcher at GFZ Potsdam and TU Berlin.

For my PhD study in the HEIBRIDS-FloodChat project ‘Global assessment of flood adaption and risk through large language models’ I’m gathering national and subnational flood plans. So far, I’ve identified flood plans for 41 countries, but I want to ensure I haven’t missed any important documents.

Therefore, I would like to ask for your help! If you know where to find a national flood plan - or any subnational plans - for any of the countries listed below, please fill out this form and provide the URL link to the document. You can submit multiple responses if you know URLs for more than one country.

Inclusion criteria:
Long term: >= 5years
Issued by an official institution in any language.
Flood-focused, or includes a specific flood-focused chapter (e.g., in national climate change adaptation plans).
National or subnational level (e.g., major river basins or state-/province-level regions)

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Feel free to get in touch with us:

- PD Dr. Heidi Kreibich (heidi.k...@gfz.de)
- Prof. Dr. Andrea Cominola (andrea....@tu-berlin.de)

Countries in dark blue indicate those for which we have not found a flood plan, yet. Countries in light blue indicate those for which we have found only sub-national flood plans with partial coverage.map_251215.png

Thank you very much.

Best wishes,
Zixin Hu
