Dear colleagues,

 My group (https://yang.cege.umn.edu/ ) at the University of Minnesota -Twin Cities is seeking a motivated postdoc and a graduate student. We have projects related to sediment transport, subsurface transport, and microbe-sediment-fluid interactions. The University:  The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities (UMN, the U of M, or Minnesota) is a public land-grant research university in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota. The University is a member of the Association of American Universities and is ranked 20th in research activity, with $1.04 billion in research and development expenditures in the fiscal year 2020. In 2001, the University of Minnesota was included in a list of Public Ivy universities, which includes publicly funded universities thought to provide a quality of education comparable to that of the Ivy League. Program/Unit Description: St. Anthony Falls Laboratory (SAFL) is an interdisciplinary fluid mechanics research center, renowned for its fluid mechanics facilities, scientists, and engineers. SAFL has various facilities for fluid mechanic, hydrology, and soil related experiments. SAFL has its own machine shop and engineering staff.
