Dear all,
We are pleased to inform you about the upcoming Trento Hydrology Days 2026, a three-day workshop that will take place in Mesiano from 11 to 13 February, jointly organized by the Department of Civil, Mechanical, and Environmental Engineering (DICAM) and the Center Agriculture Food Environment (C3A) of the University of Trento.
The workshop, titled “From patterns to processes: integrating data-driven and physics-based representations across scales”, aims to reflect on how hydrology is evolving and how we can better connect data-driven inference and process-based modeling, across scales.
The invited speakers are:
Prof. Günter Blöschl
Prof. Alberto Montanari
Prof. Gianluca Botter
On the event webpage, you can find the presentation schedule and titles, which will be held in Room 2R (DICAM).
To allow time for discussion and exchange, we organized afternoon activities in addition to the morning seminars:
Poster sessions
14:00–15:30, Sala Polifunzionale – Mesiano Library (BUM)
(Thursday and Friday; sessions may be split depending on the number of contributions)
Discussion sessions
Thursday and Friday afternoons in Room 1H (DICAM), focused on the themes emerging from the talks (and, if relevant, from the poster sessions).
If you are interested in participating, I would kindly ask you to reply to this email as soon as possible. In this way, we can estimate the approximate attendance.
Best regards,
Maria Grazia Zanoni
(on behalf of the organizing committee)
