 The CMCC Foundation, the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change, is an international research center with various locations in Italy focused on understanding the interaction between climate change and society. 

In CMCC, the Institute for Climate Resilience (IRC) is deeply engaged in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of climate, ecosystems, and society, to support operational (shorter term) to strategic (longer term) decisions, planning, and investments towards climate-resilient development. This also involves synergic mitigation, disaster risk reduction and adaptation pathways.
