Postdoc position on hydrological and climate change modelling at convection-permitting scale

A 2-yr post-doc (“contratto di ricerca”) is opening at the Department of Land, Environment, Agriculture and Forestry, University of Padova, Italy. The research project, entitled “Improvement of an hydrological Digital Twin”, focuses on hydrological and climate change modelling at convection-permitting scale.
Required qualifications:
(1) PhD in civil engineering, environmental science or a related field;
(2) Research experience in hydrological modelling, analysis of climate model outputs and geospatial analysis;
(3) Strong command of programming languages commonly used in hydrological modelling (e.g. Python, Fortran, or R).
(4) Excellent skills of scientific writing and communications
Preferred qualifications:
(1) Experience with machine learning for hydrological and climate change analysis.
