please find the 2nd call for the 5^th International Conference on African Rivers, to be held in Rabat, Morocco, 6^th to 11^th of July 2026.

Co-organized by the University Mohamed V of Rabat, and IRD

The conference will be followed by 2 days with a choice of 7 training sessions

During the conference 6 sessions wil be dedicated to discussion workshops, on Science/Society topics, including (provisional list tbc)

-Transboundary water resources (with CBLT)

-Panafrican Youth and Blue Economy (with OPJEB)

-Ancestral techniques of water use (with Moroccan experts)

-Risk reduction (with WMO)

-Innovation in water sciences and society (with IRD)

After the conference 3 special issues in indexed journal are scheduled

-International Journal of River Basin Management

-Hydrological Sciences Journal

-Bulletin de l'Institut Scientifique

The submission of abstracts, and the registration for the training sessions, are open until the 30th of March.
