Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 18th Annual InterPore Meeting – InterPore2026, which will take place 19–22 May 2026 in Nantes, France. InterPore brings together researchers from around the world working on all aspects of porous media science, including energy, climate, hydrology, materials, biology, and more.
As part of the conference, we warmly encourage you to submit an abstract to the minisymposium:
(MS19) Uncertainty-Aware Decision Support in Porous Media Applications
Lead Organizer
Sarah Perez – Heriot-Watt University, UK
Co-Organizers
Daniel Tartakovsky – Stanford University, USA
Valentina Ciriello – University of Bologna, Italy
Alexandre Tartakovsky – University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA
Monica Riva – Politecnico di Milano, Italy
This minisymposium focuses on how uncertainty—stemming from limited data, parameter variability, and modeling assumptions—affects predictions and decision-making in porous media applications. We welcome contributions on uncertainty quantification, risk assessment, decision-support tools, inverse modeling, data assimilation, and related topics across scales and applications.
Invited Speakers:
Aronne Dell’Oca (Politecnico di Milano, Italy)
Per Pettersson (NORCE Norwegian Research Centre, Norway)
