IAHR
Water Monograph on the Guidance for Water Engineering in a Changing Climate, which will be held online on
Wednesday, 17 December, from 11:00 to 12:00 (Central European Time). This event forms part of the Series designed to present the essential content of the latest IAHR Water Monographs.
This Water Monograph aims to provide crucial guidance to professionals, researchers, and policy makers for assessing the observed and projected impact of climate variability and change on hydro-systems. The core focus is on adapting the practice of engineering
design of hydraulic infrastructures and water resources management to such changes.
The webinar will present an overview of methods for the analysis of non-stationary time series and the estimation of hydrological and hydraulic design variables such as precipitation, floods, droughts, sea level and storm surges, by relaxing the hypothesis
of climate stationarity.
The session will be moderated by Damien Violeau and features contributions from leading experts:
Roberto Ranzi, Ramesh Teegavarapu, Talita Silva, Javier López Lara, and
Kenichiro Kobayashi.
