Dear colleagues,
We would like to invite you to submit abstracts to our AGU 2026 Fall Meeting Session: "H010 - Advances in ecohydrology of water-limited environments”. We have been running this session every year since 2010 (17th year!!).

Confirmed invited speakers this year:

Water is fundamental to sustaining ecosystem functions in water-limited environments. In these systems, water availability is tightly coupled with ecosystem productivity, surface energy balance, and biogeochemical cycles. Both climatic drivers (e.g., increasing aridity and recurrent droughts) and anthropogenic pressures (e.g., agriculture, grazing, and energy development) are increasingly altering system dynamics. Understanding how hydrological changes cascade through and reshape other ecosystem functions is therefore critical. We invite submissions that advance knowledge of ecohydrological processes and feedbacks in water-limited environments, including the quantification of these processes and feedbacks using novel approaches. Contributions may also address the broader implications of these processes for key challenges, including land-use change, water resource management, desertification, and the food-energy-water nexus.
