The Hydroclimate–Society
Lab at the University of Manitoba (Canada) is inviting applications for
three Ph.D. positions starting in Fall 2026 (September). Our research integrates geospatial data science, Earth observation, climate forecast, and AI/ML to understand and address the impacts of climate extremes on hazards, agriculture, and society.
🔍 Research areas include:

Climate forecasts and SWOT satellite data for water management

Socio-environmental impacts of extreme heat and wildfires

Climate data-driven hazard footprints and resilience metrics

Crop yield monitoring and forecasting using Earth Observation

Seamless sub-seasonal to decadal prediction of crop productivity
