Together with Josué Medellín-Azuara (U. California, Merced), Alvar Escriva-Bou (U. California, Davis), Julien Harou (U. Manchester, UK), and Sarah Null (Utah State Univ.), we are co-convening the following session at the AGU Fall Meeting 2026 (San Francisco, December 13–18): 

H031 - Systems Analysis for Adaptive and Equitable Water Resources Management from Operations Research to AI, Jay Lund’s living legacy

We warmly invite you to submit an abstract and join us for a session celebrating Jay Lund's continuing legacy in advancing water resources systems analysis. Jay Lund has inspired generations of researchers and practitioners in water resources systems analysis, and we hope this session will bring together both long-time collaborators and the next generation of scientists building on this tradition, as well as the broader water resources systems community.

We welcome contributions on topics including:

• Water resources systems analysis and optimization
• Hydro-economic and integrated assessment modeling
• Climate adaptation and decision making under uncertainty
• Coupled human–natural systems
• Machine learning and AI for water resources
• Decision-support tools for adaptive and equitable water management
• Real-world applications that bridge research and practice
