Dear
colleagues and friends,
The
2nd ISHC was successfully held in Tokyo in July 2025, bringing
together 375 participants from 35 countries. The excellent and
wide-ranging presentations on expanding and mainstreaming
sociohydrology toward transdisciplinary praxis paved the way
for the future of sociohydrology. Building on this success,
the ISHC International Scientific Committee has decided to
initiate preparations for the 3rd International Sociohydrology
Conference, to be held in 2028.
If you and your organisation are excited about contributing
to our sociohydrology community’s future, we invite you to
express your interest in hosting the 3rd International
Sociohydrology Conference in 2028.
Please
consider the following aspects:
- The host needs access to a suitable venue and operational
capacity to accommodate 300–500 participants.
- Registration fees must be kept as low as possible and should
not exceed those of the 2nd ISHC (reference: https://ishc2025.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/registration/fees/)
- Preference is given to hosts at universities or scientific
research institutions
