This is a message for all you AHIG medical students!
Please see the message below for details regarding this year's Eagle
Spirit High Performance Camp, taking place this week! The organizers
are actively recruiting volunteers to help in the Simulation Centre
this Friday morning. You get to hang out with high school students and
teach them in a relaxed and interactive environment -- having done it
in the past I can testify it's a really fun morning! The faculty of
medicine has said it should not be a problem to grant a leave of
absence to medical students wishing to volunteer -- so please check it
out if you're interested.
Thanks,
Lucy

Dear Eagle Spirit High Performance Camp Volunteers,
Thank you very much for offering to volunteer your time for this
year's Eagle Spirit High Performance Camp (
http://www.mcgill.ca/fph/
programs-services/eagle-spirit-high-performance-camp). The camp, run
by McGill's First Peoples' House, invites young Aboriginal student
athletes from communities across Canada to spend the weekend at
McGill. During this weekend, the students participate in a variety of
academic, sports and leadership activities. As you can imagine, many
volunteers are needed to facilitate the various activities, and to
ensure that the students get the most out of their experience at
McGill.
As part of this year's camp, the students will spend one morning in
the Simulation Center and one morning in the Anatomy Lab. In both
cases, we will need several medical student volunteers to facilitate
these sessions. The exact time of the sessions, the number of
volunteers needed and a link to the doodle poll where you can sign up
is outlined below.
We ask that you kindly visit the doodle poll (by clicking the link
below) and pick one or both of these sessions. We also ask that you
please leave a comment on the polling page (the 'comment' link is
available on the polling page, directly below the choice of sessions)
indicating whether you have a particular preference regarding the
station/activity that you would like to facilitate (see below). Every
effort will be made to honour these requests.
Again, on behalf of the Office of Admissions, Equity and Diversity, as
well as First Peoples' House, we thank you very much for offering your
valuable time. We look forward to seeing you at the camp!
