to Aboriginal Health Interest Group at McGill
Hey all -- Great opportunity here to promote careers in health to high
school students! Please email by this Wednesday if you're interested!

****************************************************************

Hi Lucy,

My name is Alex Barroca, and I work with Charmaine Lyn in the Office
of Admissions, Equity and Diversity at the Faculty of Medicine. As
part of our ongoing pipeline and recruitment activities, we have been
invited to a Career Fair at the Kahnawake Survival School. In the
interest of presenting a range of possibilities in the health
profession, we would like to recruit students who could speak about
studies/careers in Medicine, Nursing, Physical & Occupational Therapy
and Communication Sciences & Disorders.

We anticipate that the type of information likely to be asked is
related to:

The admissions process/criteria
The student experience
Hiring prospects and starting salaries
Possible branches/specialities
Support for Aboriginal students at McGill (If you are unfamiliar with
these services, you can always defer to the representatives of
McGill's First People's House, who will be working alongside you at
the Career Fair.)

The event is scheduled to take place in Kahnawake on Friday, April
13th from 9AM-3PM, and so the interested student/students should be
available for that full day.

If you are interested in participating, please get in touch with me as
soon as possible (ideally before Wednesday, March 28th). Please also
pass along the message to any of your friends/colleagues who might be
interested.

Please find attached a document with more information about the event.

Thank you,

Alexander Barroca
