Subject: Help ensure accessibility of your research in China

Dear colleagues,

We have an important announcement about the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s journals, and we very much need your help in disseminating this information.

ASHA’s journals have been accepted into a free trial by the National Science and Technology Library (NSTL) system in China. If usage of the journals from within China during this limited trial period is good, NSTL will be more likely to subscribe to our journals. If NSTL subscribes, the important research published in the journals will be exposed to many thousands more readers and researchers.

This is an unprecedented opportunity to expand international awareness and use of the research you have played a key role in publishing, but this trial period only runs through August 31, 2011. We need your help to spread the word and maximize usage from within China.

If you have any colleagues in China or know people in the field who have colleagues in China, please forward the following information to them so that usage during the trial period is high:

User Guidelines:

Go to http://journals.asha.org to access any of the ASHA journals and view full text articles. There is no cost for downloading these articles during the trial period.
• If your institution is a member of the NSTL trial and using IP access, you can go to the journal website directly and read the articles.
• If your institution is using username and password for access or you wish to read some articles at home over the summer period, your username and password are as follows:
User name: 2011nstl
Password: 2011cps

Trial Period:
June 16th, 2011, to August 31st, 2011

If you have any problems accessing or reading the full-text articles, please contact your librarians, or feel free to contact Charlesworth Group China at:
Tel: +86 (0)10 67791621
Email: in...@charlesworth.com.cn, sa...@charlesworth.com.cn

Thank you very much for your help with this important effort to increase awareness and use of our journals in China. If you have any questions about this initiative, please reply to this message and Mike Cannon, Director of Journals and Editorial Services, will be in touch as soon as possible.
