These consultation events on increasing Scotland's forest cover will be of interest to quite a few of you - possibly dry, but maybe a chance to influence some important decisions. I'm hoping to get to the Huntly one.

Just to update you, following the Woodland Expansion Advisory Group�s (WEAG) �Call for views�, they will be holding a series of events across Scotland for anyone with an interest in forestry, farming or other land-based objectives.

The work that the group has done to date looking at the opportunities for increasing forest and woodland cover in Scotland will be presented before participants get the chance to discuss some of the issues around maximising the potential from different land-uses in the Scottish landscape.

The events will start at 6.30pm and finish by 9.00pm and anyone wanting to attend needs to register either by email we...@forestry.gsi.gov.uk or letter to the Woodland Expansion Advisory Group Secretariat, Forestry Commission Scotland, Silvan House, 231 Corstorphine Road, Edinburgh, EH12 7AT.
