Spring gathering Saturday 17th May
Hi everyone, hope you are all keeping well and enjoying the spring weather :)
This message is to let you all know that this year's spring gathering will be on Saturday 17th May at our house as usual. It would be great if you could try not to arrive before 11.30 to give us time to see to the animals and set everything out and if you can't come until later in the day don't let that put you off as people drop in and out throughout the day anyway. It's a good opportunity to meet up halfway with people who are a bit distant so check with them and make sure they have got this message.
We are thinking about making this a twice yearly thing so we can meet in the autumn too, maybe a harvest home gathering after the busy period. Lots of trees and fruit bush cuttings can't be swapped until then and it's a second chance for anyone who can't make the spring thing.
If anyone has any seeds, plants, cuttings or other unwanted usefuls to swap or share, bring them along as well and we'll put ours out too. We will put the plants and anything else messy outside or in the workshop so don't forget to go and see if there is anything you want.
If you want a look round Gordon will show you round our plot and explain what we are doing in the various places, as usual there are several works in progress but we all have those don't we.
I'll provide lunch and the soup and bread will be vegetarian friendly. If anyone needs directions send me a personal email or private message via the Roundhouse forum, I discovered ''directions to our house'' on the web for the world to see sometime after adding them to one of the Google group messages - they're probably still out there for all I know.
Hope you can make it, cross your fingers for a nice day, looking forward to seeing you all,
Julie and Gordon :)
PS/ If anyone needs to ask me anything I won't be able to reply until after Thursday as our phone lines are down until then, my kind neighbour let me use her internet to send this.
