Soa mother tells her young son in the trailer for Justine Triet's Anatomy of a Fall, which won the Palme d'Or at this year's Cannes Film Festival. The family drama-turned-legal drama takes place in the wake of a suspicious death, as novelist Sandra (Sandra Hller) is suspected of murdering her husband, and her blind 11-year-old son, Daniel (Milo Machado Graner), is the only witness.

"My intention was to create a film that portrays the downfall of a couple's relationship. The concept was to depict the physical and emotional descent of a body in a technical manner, symbolizing the decline of their love story," Triet says. "This couple has a son who discovers their tumultuous relationship during a trial that scrutinizes every aspect of their past. As the trial unfolds, the boy transitions from a state of complete trust in his mother to one of doubt, marking a crucial turning point in his life."

The French writer and director wrote Anatomy of a Fall with her real-life partner, filmmaker Arthur Harari. When the film won Cannes' top prize in May, Triet became only the third woman to take home the Palme d'Or.

When it comes to a show like Grey's Anatomy, you never really know what to expect. Whether it involves a complicated surgery or a surprise hook-up in an on-call room, this show is nothing if not full of surprises. Which is why you would expect the newly released Grey's Anatomy Season 15 trailer to be full of shocking twists and turns, but the one thing that probably no one saw coming is the possible hook-up between Meredith and... DeLuca? That's right, you read that correctly.

Showrunner Krista Vernoff had previously told TVLine in a separate interview prior to the trailer release that Meredith would definitely be finding time for romance in Season 15, though she neglected to specify who it would be with. "Meredith Grey is very much a part of our Season of Love," Vernoff explained, adding:

Vernoff also went on to say that, "The question this season is not 'Will Meredith Grey find love again?' but 'With whom will she find love?'" Is it possible she could've been referring to DeLuca being that person? It's impossible to say right now, but if a picture speaks a thousand words, then this trailer says volumes.

Granted, it's not as if DeLuca hasn't shown interest in Meredith before. He even tried to drunkenly kiss her at Alex and Jo's wedding. Meredith didn't really seem into it at the time, but maybe he just caught her off guard, but she ends up thinking differently about it later on.

Could the cause of Meredith's distractedness be her budding feelings for DeLuca? It's definitely enough to make you wonder what the future may have in store for these two attractive doctors. It's certainly going to make for an interesting season.

When it comes to random Grey's Anatomy plotlines, the return of April's ex-fianc Matthew in Season 14 is definitely high up on the ever-growing list. The season finale concluded with the reunited couple getting married soon after a surprise second engagement, explaining actress Sarah Drew's scheduled departure from the series. I can only imagine that April and Matthew are off on a whirlwind tour to save the world together, but fans of the long-running ABC drama have uncovered a movie trailer that totally hints about what the couple could get up to in an alternate universe. The Indivisible trailer shows so many Grey's Anatomy actors that the film is basically an unofficial reunion, but I'm still not sure if I prefer its dramatic story to fit an otherworldly version of April.

On a recent Grey's Anatomy Reddit thread, fan u/soswinglifeaway shared the trailer for Indivisible, due out in theaters on Oct. 26, and pointed out that we now know where Matthew and April headed in their wedded bliss at the end of Season 14. The film is based on the true story of Army Chaplain Darren Turner and his wife Heather, aka Justin Bruening and Sarah Drew. Honestly, Matthew Taylor totally could've left the paramedic field to become a preacher and eventually work as a chaplain for the army. Plus, as we all saw, Matthew and April are married now, so the possibilities of where they could end up after presumably leaving Seattle are endless.

As the film's website explains, Darren is deployed to Iraq soon after he finishes seminary and basic training. Heather is left alone at a military base with their young children, but also takes on the responsibility of caring for the emotional needs of other families around her. When Darren finally returns home, his literal and mental battle scars have affected him enough for his marriage to Heather to shift. The couple must now decide if saving their relationship is worth it. Excuse me while I try to refrain from making a joke about April running back to Jackson ASAP.

Not only do Bruening and Drew star as Indivisible's leads, but fellow Grey's Anatomy alum Jason George also appears as a soldier. So, I guess Ben Warren's firefighter stint on Station 19 didn't quite last? In an even bigger ABC/Disney coincidence, Sister, Sister's Tia Mowry stars as George's character's wife. While I can't exactly get on board with such a Grey's Anatomy-heavy cast that doesn't include Chandra Wilson as George's love interest, the religious parallels between Bruening and Drew's characters are a pretty funny coincidence.

Although it was easy for fans to get distracted by April's Grey's Anatomy exit as it approached, Drew has actually posted snippets about her Indivisible work on Instagram throughout the past few months. She shared the film's poster in mid-May, and then posted photos of herself and Bruening in costume as the Turners.

According to Variety, work on Indivisible wrapped a year ago, long before we knew Drew was leaving Grey's Anatomy and April's new life with Matthew fell into place. The film will likely be Drew's first big project since her Grey's Anatomy exit, as plans for her to star in a Cagney & Lacey reboot on CBS were scrapped in May. Could Indivisible be the start of a blooming film career for Drew?

Until we see what other opportunities this movie may bring for Drew, I'll amuse myself by imagining that April and Matthew have taken the film's exact intense path since getting married. Will they pull through just in time to make it back for a Grey Sloan Memorial reunion? I'm kidding... sort of.

The new Grey's Anatomy trailer teases sparks flying between Meredith Grey and Nick Marsh. The upcoming season of the long-running medical drama was delayed amid the dual 2023 strikes, during which writers and then actors took to the picket lines to fight for fair pay. Although season 20 has a shortened order of 10 episodes to meet its delayed schedule, the drama for its central characters, including Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) despite her exit from the main cast in season 19, will not slow down.

There is no shortage of interpersonal drama and romance in the trailer, which includes hints at characters' potential firings, struggles with sobriety, and a possible wedding gone wrong. However, one of the steamiest moments belongs to Meredith and Nick Marsh (Scott Speedman), who get up close and personal while he insists "I wanna live a whole life with love and you," to which she responds, "Well, OK then."

This romantic moment between Meredith and Nick seems to be the culmination of a long history for the couple. They first met during a season 14 episode where the transplant surgeon had a bad reaction to his own kidney transplant, leading to heavy flirtation between him and Meredith while he was in recovery. However, he didn't reappear on the show until season 18, when Speedman joined the main cast and Nick had a surprise reunion with Meredith, in which he learned that she was no longer dating Dr. Hayes (Richard Flood).

Although the pair circled one another for the following two seasons, their attempts at maintaining a relationship were rocky up through Meredith's departure from the Seattle hospital midway through Grey's Anatomy season 19. Pompeo herself exited the main cast of the show at the same time, though she remains on board as a narrator and executive producer, in addition to further onscreen appearances in a limited capacity. There is now a geographical divide between the couple, so it remains to be seen if this romantic moment culminates in them actually getting together.

One possible ray of hope for the Grey's Anatomy couple is that Speedman's status as a series regular has not been confirmed for the new season. This means that it's entirely possible for the character to leave Seattle and follow Meredith back to Boston. However, given that this trailer is just one glimpse into the inner workings of the new season, there will likely still be quite a few romantic twists and turns before that decision is reached, if it happens at all.

Grey's Anatomy's "season of love" is officially bringing Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) a new love interest -- or at least a new bedmate! In the new trailer for Season 15, Meredith can be seen canoodling in bed with none other than DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti). Yes, seriously. Andrew, freaking, DeLuca. What even?!

Ever since Riggs (Martin Henderson) left the picture, fans have been wondering whether Meredith would give love another shot. Scott Speedman's guest role last year seemed to indicate that another soulmate could still be out there for Meredith somewhere, but...We just literally never expected that to be DeLuca!

The context of this little peek at their hookup is nowhere to be found, so it's a little soon to be jumping straight to soulmate territory -- it could just be a steamy roll in the sack, as is prone to happen at Grey Sloan Memorial -- but if not, we'll be forced to reckon with this new ship and whether or not we're okay with it. Don't forget that DeLuca's first romantic entanglement on this series was with Maggie (Kelly McCreary), and frankly, hasn't there been enough double-dipping between these sisters? After Maggie's letdown with Riggs, she's perfectly entitled to go off on Meredith for going after another guy she tried and failed with.
