LeverageRacklive for rack-level deployments to reduce overhead costs and lead times for your business. We focus on getting your racks to where they need to be anywhere around the globe so your team can focus on growing your business.

We understand that every business has different technology needs and the same for your business' financial goals. Racklive has multiple financing options available to meet your business budgetary needs.

Established in 2011, Racklive is the Data Center Division of ASA Computers. As a leader in rack integration solutions, Racklive offers a full suite of integration services plus customized engineering design and global deployment.

With the Live Rack application, front-of-house engineers can take advantage of intuitive features such as drag and drop, copy and paste, keyboard navigation, plug-in zoom, and the ability to store and recall channel strip presets and/or complete setup configuration Snapshots. Designed for seamless operation in a live setting, the Live Rack app features large text and GUI elements making it easy to quickly tweak parameters. The Live Rack app also features MIDI snapshot recall capabilities as well as networked software integration with select Soundcraft Vi consoles.

UAD-2 Live Rack includes professional, fail-safe features for reliable live sound use. Redundant internal power supplies ensure that UAD-2 Live Rack will continue to process audio if one power supply fails. If the Live Rack application or computer fails, or its Thunderbolt cable is disconnected, UAD-2 Live Rack will still process audio with the last known plug-in state intact. And with the Live Rack app in Safe mode, destructive setting changes are prevented during a live show.

Unfortunately, I can't get the device to work. The software appears not to have been updated and, as such, will only run on one particular generation of Apple MacOS. Connectivity may also be an issue. It is specified as Thunderbolt 3. So, my only available option is to purchase a second hand 2017 Apple Mac with thunderbolt 3 ports and this in itself is a problem as 2017 Apple Macs with thunderbolt ports also have a known video issue which, I have found from experience, is extremely expensive to repair.

I love UAD Products - but UAD ignores the Users of the Live Rack... NO UPDATES for a long time and i cannot use more than 4 Autotunes at the same time... Not enough power to use more??? Thats a shame for so much money... Time to change!??? Waves?

I'm really disappointed...

After having purchased two of these units, I am really disappointed this platform does not get any latest updates of the plugins and Mac OS. It does not support the latest MacOS which is very disappointing.

We need updates please

This is now a game changing position for me.

I have all the processing I need with my 2x UAD Live Rack. Being a "parallel compression guy" this made my life a lot easier and better :) - Mrio Correia / FOH / D.A.M.A

On this 2019 Touring year we went for the UAD-2 Live Rack to take control over our vocal FX's backbone. And we are extremely happy with the sound and stability of the UAD-2 Live Rack. We use Allen&Heath dLive consoles with Super Made option cards. - Oscar Soederlund/ParashootFOH Zara Larsson

3 Grand for the rack unit and it's only a UAD-Quad? Something like this should be specced as high as the most currently available UAD2 Satellite Octa - which 2/3's cheaper.

Also - the connectively for remote control is way too system specific and would have benefited from iOS or an embedded VNC Server (such as the Trinnov DMON series). That way *any* system or tablet could control it, Dramatically widening your customer base.

I would have loved to use this as part of my hybrid studio using dedicated MADI ADC/DACs like a ferrofish A32.. and mixed and matched signals fwith my real analog outboard.. but it just seems too cumbersome and underpowered for the money.

With these two factors, I'm sure these aren't flying off the shelf.

why not make things for both platforms i got usb3 usbc and thunderbolt but cant switch from p.c to mac its a lot of money being spent on gear that wont interchange or please send me a link to fix this lol

The Universal Audio UAD-2 Live Rack Ultimate is a rackmount 16-channel MADI effects processor with over 90 UAD powered plug-ins designed to deliver analog hardware emulations and award-winning audio plug-ins for FOH and monitor engineers in houses of worship, concert venues, and live stage applications. Its four onboard SHARC DSPs (UAD QUAD) allow processing of up to 16 channels of a MADI stream without imposing a burden on your mixing console or computer. Up to four Live Racks can be combined for processing up to 64 channels.

Utilize the dual Thunderbolt 3 host connections to control the software from your Mac computer; connect via Ethernet to a Soundcraft Vi console for snapshot functionality and networked software integration. MADI optical ports provide 64 channels of digital I/O for large-scale mixes. Operate at sample rates up to 96 kHz clocked internally or externally using word clock via BNC jacks. Dual internal power supplies offer redundancy for fail-safe operation.

As this is the 10th rack in the series, I'd like to say thank you all for downloading and spreading the word. The response has been so much greater than I imagined it would be, and when I put up that first Ableton rack, I had no idea so many people would become interested. It has inspired me to keep coming up with new ideas. Thanks for your support!

So, I have been my whole life in love with music, but have never been confident enough to do my music live. With Rack I think I have gained that confidence needed to put something together to perform, but I have doubts about how well received would be a synth like Rack. It is not fancy gear as it is only my laptop, and the performance can only be appreciated by looking at my screen. Most people, I think, not only look for live perfomances for the music, but also for the visual stimulus that the musician puts when they play their instruments; a guitar, a piano, or a modular synth system.

Absolutely. Any MIDI controller with knobs, buttons and faders probably connects to the Host MIDI. I play around with a Behringer BCR2000 and KiwiTechnics Patch Editor an map to all sorts of parameters.

Sorry, the Universal Audio UAD-2 Live Rack Core is no longer available. We've left this page up for reference only.

Compared to a rack case filled with processors, the UAD-2 Live Rack couldn't be simpler to add to your digital mix system. Connect it to your digital console's MADI I/O port, and connect your laptop via Thunderbolt 3 to control the Live Rack Application. You're ready to send individual tracks, sub-mixes, and even the full mix through UAD Powered Plug-ins, with no perceptible latency. The Live Rack app features MIDI snapshot recall capabilities, as well as networked software integration with select Soundcraft Vi consoles.

You'll be able to count on the UAD-2 Live Rack during high-stakes events. Redundant internal power supplies make sure audio will continue to be processed uninterrupted in the event of a power failure (as long as they're connected to different power circuits, of course). If your laptop malfunctions, or the Thunderbolt cable disconnects, UAD-2 Live Rack will continue to process audio using that last known plug-in states. You can even prevent unwanted setting changes during a live show by enabling the Live Rack app's Safe mode.

Having experienced trawling through countless soundbanks and presets and struggling to find an acid sound that works, this rack makes this process much simpler! Create unique sounds in seconds with little to no sound design experience needed. Great job Allan. Highly recommended

Racks greatly expand upon the concept of device groups introduced in Live 5. The device groups of any Live Sets imported from Live 5 are automatically converted to Racks. Note that these Live Sets, once saved, can no longer be opened in older versions of Live.

Drum Racks also allow multiple parallel chains to be used simultaneously, but their chains process input somewhat differently: Rather than receiving the same input signals, each Drum Rack chain receives input from only a single assigned MIDI note.

If a track already has one or more devices that you would like to group into a Rack, then simply select the title bars of those devices in the Device View, and right-click(Win) / CTRL-click(Mac) on one of the title bars to reveal the Group and Group to Drum Rack commands in the context menu. Note that if you repeat this command again on the same device, you will create a Rack within a Rack. You can also group multiple chains within a Rack using the same procedure. Doing this also creates a Rack within a Rack. In the Device View, the contents of Racks are always contained between end brackets: Just as with punctuation or in mathematics, a Rack within a Rack will have a pair of brackets within a pair of brackets.
