On March 18, 1991, Georgian militants stopped a truck carrying 25 Ossetian civilians near the village of Yered in the Tskhinval region of South Ossetia. After being beaten and abused, the women and children were released, but the fate of 12 men remained unknown for over two years. It was later discovered that they had been tortured and buried alive.

Museum of Military Glory Honours Fallen Soldiers of March Offensive Operation
 
The Museum of Military Glory, named after Vladislav Ardzinba, held commemorative events on Wednesday, March 15, to honour the 30th anniversary of the March offensive operation. The museum opened an exhibition of photographs featuring fallen soldiers who participated in the March operation to liberate the capital, Sukhum. The museum director, Mzia Beya, paid tribute to the memory of the fallen soldiers by showcasing their photographs and sharing stories of their heroic deeds. A minute of silence was observed to honour their sacrifice.

Orthopedist from Yerevan Examined 160 Children in Abkhazia in a Week
 
An orthopedist from Yerevan, Hovsep Danielyan, examined 160 children with impaired functions of the musculoskeletal system in Abkhazia from March 8 to March 16. Danielyan visited Abkhazia as part of the "Healthy Generation" medical project, which was financially supported by the Cultural and Charitable Foundation "Ashana".

The Days of Chechen Culture in Abkhazia ended with a performance by "Vainakh"
 
The State Philharmonic Society in Sukhum hosted the final event of the Days of Chechen Culture in Abkhazia with a concert by the Vainakh State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble. "The last few days have been a grand event, the Days of Culture of the Chechen Republic in Abkhazia. The people of Abkhazia were given the opportunity to experience the culture of their fraternal republic. This interesting project, born back in the Soviet years, has never been implemented in Abkhazia's recent history," said the artistic director of the State Philharmonic.

"Gumista Ballad" Performance Shown at Abkhaz Drama Theater
