Toivo Klaar Addresses Diplomatic Efforts in Abkhazia: A Closer Look at the EU Representative's Visit
Nuzhnaya Gazeta in Abkhazia reports on the visit of the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Toivo Klaar, to Abkhazia. He arrived in Sukhum on March 16 to meet with officials, hold consultations, and assess the socio-political situation. Toivo Klaar spoke to Nuzhnaya Gazeta about the objectives and outcomes of his visit. The diplomat emphasized that his visit was in the capacity of a special representative of the European Union, not as a co-chair of the International Geneva Discussions.

A Conference Dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the State Committee for Repatriation Held in Sukhum
A scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the founding of the State Committee of Abkhazia for Repatriation was held. Vadim Kharazia, the chairman of the State Committee, stressed that the organisation was created by the first president of Abkhazia, Vladislav Ardzinba, with the aim of uniting the Abkhaz diaspora, which is represented in 50 countries around the world.

During a briefing on Tuesday, March 21, the chief engineer of the Abkhazian Railway, Leonid Kurua, announced that the Sochi-Gagra route will soon see the introduction of the Lastochka electric train.

President Aslan Bzhania Meets with Kabardino-Balkaria Delegation
As reported by the head of state's press service, President Aslan Bzhania recently held a meeting with a delegation from Kabardino-Balkaria (KBR). Members of the KBR delegation included Timur Shardanov, who serves as chairman of the regional public organization "Veterans of the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia in 1992-1993," and Vladimir Pshinokov, the director of the Centre for the Study of the History and Culture of the Peoples of the Caucasus "Abaza."

The project office of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO UN) recently held a two-day training program for viticulturists and winemakers of Abkhazia. The event was held on March 22nd and 23rd as part of the "Sustainable Viticulture and Protection of Endemic Varieties in Abkhazia" program, and it brought together over 40 participants interested in the field. The conference hall of the Wines and Beverages of Abkhazia plant in Sukhum served as the venue for the training. Jean-Philip Roby, an international specialist, conducted the training, which was divided into theoretical and practical parts.
