Admin's note: As I have mentioned numerous times before, Georgia will not repeat its past mistakes. It will not open a "second front" despite the demands of Ukrainian officials as well as some old and new European and American officials and "experts.

Those who advocate for a "second front" need to understand one crucial point, as I explained in the preface of the 'Abkhazia: 1992-2022' book as follows:

"The concern of these people [who wants a 'second front'] is neither to solve the problems of Georgia with Abkhazia and South Ossetia, nor to provide peace to the Caucasus. Their sole purpose is to weaken their great enemy [Russia] to their own benefit. All else can easily be sacrificed for this goal. A new war will not only affect South Ossetia and Abkhazia but will involve the entire North Caucasus and all the countries where the North Caucasus diaspora lives. This new front, which some seem to view as desirable, may also bring the end of Georgia, contrary to expectations. These are realities that need to be understood."
