Hello,

I work with R2 Technologies have a contract position with our direct client. Below is the job description.

 

Title:Associate Support Engineer(SQL DBA)

Location: NYC

Passport Number is Mandatory

4+ years of Experince Needed

 

Overview:

               As an Associate Support Engineer on the database support team, you will be part of a team of individuals tasked with keeping the database up and running smoothly. Your goal is to make sure the system is running efficiently and properly and serving the needs of the users.  You will at times need to be open-minded and creative in ways to solve problems to satisfy user needs.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Communicate clearly and precisely with internal customers in written and verbal form, and maintain accurate and timely records in our case tracking system
  • Maintain ownership of cases until resolution, drive other teams as needed and set customer expectations
  • Perform problem characterization, reproduction, diagnosis, and root cause analysis
  • Work with Services and Engineering personnel to resolve product issues or escalating as necessary
  • Configure customer systems to meet requirements
  • Author Knowledge Base Articles / Technical Notes
  • File enhancement requests and work with product management to translate business needs to product requirements
  • Meet individual case management, SLA, and C-Sat goals

Requirements

  • Postgres, MySQL a plus
  • Proven working experience with databases
  • Familiar with Linux and Linux commands
  • Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
  • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
  • Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
  • Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third party tools
  • Familiarity with programming languages API
  • Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
  • BS degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification
