Before founding Clickteam, François Lionet was the programmer of STOS BASIC, a programming language released in 1989 for the Atari ST, and AMOS BASIC, a more advanced language released in 1990 for the Commodore Amiga. Both of these have since been released in open-source form on the Clickteam orginisation website.[2] Yves Lamoureux was also a successful game developer prior to co-founding Clickteam, working with multiple companies on games.[3]

Developers can download a free limited version of Clickteam Fusion 2.5 here, or the full version here. A special developer version with exclusive features, such as special objects and a run-time licensing agreement, is also available here. The full or developer versions of Clickteam Fusion 2.5 are required to use the new UWP Exporter (available here). Developers will also need Microsoft Visual Studio to compile final files, and an Xbox One developer account is necessary to test or deploy on Xbox One.

We would be happy to support it, but in many cases such toolkits are not designed for low level plugins. Some game toolkits, such as Construct, don't provide APIs with sufficient performance to allow us to implement a Spine runtime efficiently. I have not looked closely at Clickteam Fusion's SDK, but if that is the case it would be better for the Clickteam Fusion developers to use one of our generic runtimes to add Spine support themselves. For example, this is what Game Maker Studio does and it allows them to render Spine animations very efficiently. The generic runtimes handle loading, parsing, manipulating, and preparing the skeleton data for rendering. The Clickteam Fusion developers would just need to take that and render it.

If you do some research you will find that Clickteam Fusion is a very popular Game design tool and even the developer Asley Gullen from Scirra Software based all his designs from Clickteam which he himself was a user / developer before he created Construct, Construct 2 & 3.

But if your considering on developing a runtime for Clickteam Fusion 2.5 in the near future then that is good enough for me as well as several others I know and talked with that would purchase Spine in a heartbeat if they knew a runtime for fusion 2.5 was in the works someday soon in the future.
