Hello

Not been any action on here in a long time. Think the online chat rooms have stolen the list’s thunder.

Nice result on Saturday though. Really enjoyed the trip.

So much so I’ve signed up for Ibrox and am going on Saturday too.

If only everyone could tackle like Ozzy we’d be invincible.

Aye, guess you're right Iain... this type of forum was at its peak when the tinternet was a mere glint in Berners-Lee's eye!

Was looking back at some emails from 2003... my mailbox hasn't archived them from any earlier, which is a pity. But the trends back then were the same as the trends now. Some 8/9 years have passed and we are still complaining about Managers, Milne and Mackie!!! In fact, wouldn't that be a great title for a book by some emotionally scarred Dons fan?!?!

Think we got lucky against Utd... Considine in any other game, could have been red carded for that and we could have been 2-0 down with 10 men. Lady luck shining on us at Tannadice it seems.

Any thoughts on the current state of affairs at AFC (off the park that is)? Will we manage to sell Pittodrie for tuppence ha'penny? Where's the rest of the loot coming from? Just how much interest will be eventually have to repay in the form of a long term mortgage?

On the park, still as dull as it ever has been.

So yeah, come on lads, let's see a mini revival of the world famous 'List'!! As that old Norwich supporting hoor once bleeted..... "Where are yooooooooooo?"

Rory

Plenty of twits and twats employed by AFC as well Neil ;)

What Twitter forum/tags are being used? Not really a good way of informal chat in my view. Chat sites usually degrade into petty squabbling as well.

Yep, nowt quite like the List. Shame it's died of death.

I’m still here.

I was given the address for the list when I moved to England in 96, so it’s been going a long time.

I enjoyed the highlights (though it looked like Utd were well on top in first half).  So did my wee boy – 5 years old and growing up a Dandy.  Ever since the halfway goal against the Saints, Ryan Jack is his favourite player.  His school pals all go “Who?”

It seems the list is dead, long live the list.

If we’re doing a roll call, I’m still here too.

Still awaiting the marquee signing that was promised in the summer. Perhaps we’ll get Russell Anderson on board…?

And then there were four…

Still attached to the list, tho as Rory has said, the plethora on AFC internet forums have stolen its thunder. Plenty of Aberdeen fans on Twitter.

Thought we rode our luck first half, but were excellent once the useless Fallon had gone off. Chalali has to start with Vernon now.

Form is good now - 1 defeat in 6 - that a long cup run and even a 4th place finish (think Hearts will only get better) isn't out of the question.

4th place?? You still celebrating new year? ;-)

We’re still pretty shaky at the back. Brown is useless with crosses.

Plus we still can’t really score as the forwards are getting poor service.

I can’t see a 4th place finish - I think we’ll be lucky to get 6th personally.

The league is so tight, it wouldn't take much. But then it wouldn't take much to get sucked down. 6th would be some progress, but I'd still not rule out a higher finish - despite your legitimate concerns.

There was talk in the papers about 18 months ago about Milne buying Allan Park from Cove and building them a new stadium at Calder PArk, chucking them an interest free loan in the process, but incorporating a training facility that AFC would also use.

Milne now speaks about AFC's project at Loirston being a stadium and a soccer academy. Does that incorporate a training facility, or is the Cove link up still active? Who would pay for the revenue costs of the shared facility?

Milne has never commented on the Calder Park project, given that it's SMG business and not AFC, but surely questions should have been asked of him at the 2 AGMs since, given that it was reported to be a shared facility.

Hiya!

After 15 years as a ST holder, I gave my ST away half way through JC's last season.

Went to 2 games under McGhee, and have yet to go to a game under Brown.

Still keep up to date with everything going on, watch highlights etc but interest in going to games is completely gone.

For the last three seasons I have said this is is the last time I am buying a season ticket and yet I continue to do so, I suppose it's just a habit. I now find that I can't be arsed making the 150 mile round trip to midweek games on freezing cold nights, and if I miss a game through holidays etc I'm not that bothered. I didn't go to Tannadice on Monday, the first time I have not been there for perhaps 40 years. I just thought that £25 plus the rest was just too much.

I'm not sure what the problem is, perhaps it is that after every good result we get bad news, this week it is that we will probably have to get rid of our best players because we can't afford their wages and we have no money to replace them. A story that we have been hearing ever since Milne took over. It's almost as if he doesn't want us to be successful as it might cost us some money. We might actually make a profit being successful also but that doesn't seem to come into his thoughts.

The other problem obviously being the state of Scottish football, we pay over inflated ticket prices to watch very average players knowing that the Old Firm are going to win everything every season with the odd exception.

Saying all that, I have my tickets for the game at Forfar on Saturday and go there hoping to be entertained.

Anyway, I know some will be pleased, but will be sorry to see Foster go.

Still here too………….looking forward to a couple of pints, a Forfar bridie and a hopeful smooth journey into the next round of the cup tomorrow

Shame the list is quieter these days – all the forums and social network sites don’t measure up to the same level of intelligent discussion  – albeit Stand Free was top quality a few years back, and is still decent

What you doing with your Saturdays these days Pow Wow?
