I would think that, when selecting the side for the ICT game midweek, it will be done with one eye on the semi-final at the weekend. With Langfield nursing an injury from last weekend, we can't afford any more injuries for the semi final, so maybe this is the time to give one or two fringe players a run out, and still take the 3 points

McArdle Ifil Vuju  Robertson

I think he should play the strongest team and get them used to creating chances for the strikers before Saturday.

We need them on top form and I don’t think a night off will help focus their mind personally.

Blackman can’t play on Saturday anyway so I’d get back to playing bebo & Vernon up front and maybe get Aluko out if he’s ready.

On the one hand, I don't think we're nearly good enough yet that we should be expecting to take points from Caley with anything less than our best 11. On the other hand, the thought of going into the semi without any of our key players is unpleasant.

So the choice is, really, which is more important? I think I go along with playing our best available team in each game, maybe giving Vernon a rest for Blackman midweek. He'd be the biggest blow to our chances if he was hurt, I think.

Despite defeat on Saturday, we made life hard for Celtic, and the whole squad should take heart. They must all be itching for a game, so I agree Broon could risk making changes. One thing is for sure, we'll be looking forward to next week's league game more than them.

Just watched the highlights of the hearts game and it could easily have been 9-0

We will have to be at our *very* best on Saturday if Celtic turn up in this kinda form.

Let’s hope our defence are well organised and we don’t allow Celtic to counter attack against us.

Come on Pa Broon, work some magic!

There's no doubt when they want to they can play but equally they can be very ordinary. It was only a few weeks ago the struggled against a pish poor St Mirren side.

There's no reason we can't win at least one of the ties and why shouldn't it be this one.

Kind regards
