Hellohello,

Time to tell you about A B of S's latest physical products...

ABOS3-048 Hokkei Quartet "Hempty's Love" c48
Th very first tape release from this Ukrainian combo (including
members of Moglass, Riasni Drova, and Noah Coward) consisting of two
side-long deconstructivist pieces of basement incantation, expert
clatter, and freeform reed rides, forming something akin to shamanic
doom jazz. Or...? Heavy on atmosphere, loose on structure (though the
B side does end with inciting post-post punk-esque dirge drum
assaults), "Hempty's Love" is... love! A pro dubbed edition of 52,
with artwork that pays homage to the Cramps Records DIVerso LPs of the
'70s.

ABOS3-069 Clathrus "Lanugo" 3" CD-R
After a bold c30 on Digitalis Ltd., Clathrus (one of several Russian
projects setting our ears happily ablaze recently*) summons up
"Lanugo" - 17 brief but engaging minutes of ethnic/tropical space-folk
swirls, acid pop sensibilities, and rhythmic dreamchillin'. In a mini
CD-R case housed in a homemade cardstock outer cover.

(* if you're curious: Mpala Garoo, Love Cult, Sashash Ulz, Bedroom
Bear... to name a few. So good!)

ABOS3-074 Dao De Noize "Nasreddinoize" CD-R
Dao De Noize (a relatively new project with a steadily growing
discography) references the infamous Sufi "philosopher" Nasreddin on
this single 36-minute burner/churner. Sand encrusted distortion,
electronic washes, and mystical transmissions from a lysergic
mosque... with plenty of, as the artists puts it best, "noise, soul,
effects." Presented in a 14 x 14 cm homemade cardstock sleeve with
paper inserts.

ABOS3-080 Xladnokrovie 616 "Gorod" 2x CD-R
As is increasingly the case, here's another mysterious, virtually
anonymous project of one or more people, delivering a huuuge,
fascinating album to our virtual doorstep. Enter Xladnokrovie 616
(cyrillically, Хладнокровье 616)! Spanning two discs / over two hours,
"Gorod" is four solid chunks of urban sprawl. Environmental recordings
gradually mutate into ominous engine drones, with minimal / subliminal
keyboards buried in - and contributing to - a dense rush-hour-ambient
blur. All pieces end abruptly. Get your headphones on for this one!
Comes in a gatefold digipak with black & white art pasted on.

Working on the Scared Crow, Birdengine, and Caligine CD-Rs for the
next batch... due in 2-3 weeks!? ; a pair of c30s (Fugleøen, Pacific
Mausoleum) might be ready around then too.

Later ("but not too much later"), a Small Things on Sundays LP, a
Spittle Sisters c36 (or c37), a Brian Green CD-R, and various
exciting, almost-confirmed bits. Plus the long delayed Hvasseline and
Super Burritos CD-Rs. Aaaand: the double 7" (Saturn Finger / Balder- /
The Old Rig / Hobo Cubes) which I sent to the pressing plant over two
months ago - hope things're progressing in the right direction with
that...

(Apropos: Election day in Denmark... New gov't, plz, thnx!)

Best regards,
C.
