Hello!
I've neither melted nor drowned (not physically anyway)... so I'm glad
to bring you this tiny update -
////////// NOW
ABOS2-014: Armali Lari "Ma tu la pasta la vò?" CD-R
This shining collaboration between Italy's Francesco Calandrino
(Siltbreeze recording act Oper'azione Nafta) and Nicola Giunta
(summerTales) finds the pair playing anything they can get their hands
on (prepared tapes, Casio, trumpet, nylon string guitar...) Something
somewhere within the spheres of naive surrealist folk, minimalist
jazz, and tape manipulation is constructed and/or improvised - spry
hits of weird quirk, without the usual conventions of said "non-
genres" are formed. A radical oddity of an avant album - sit back and
chillax. 100 copies in existence.
"Ma tu la pasta la vó?" was available on tape through Stunned Records
a few weeks ago (distros and A.L. themselves will have copies if you
prefer analogue formats.) The artwork is pretty nice on the A B of S
version of the release as well, if I may say so (...and I do) :-)

ABOS2-018: The Ernie Coombs Memorial Orchestra "Break These Taken
Wings" 3" CD-R
Jessy Kendall (Lewiston, ME's Rough Ride of Crafts and Old Man Forest)
and Copenhagen via Vancouver's yours truly are/were the one-off Ernie
Coombs Memorial Orchestra project. Here, then (again), are four
tracks, as previously heard(?) on a 2006 subscription-only CD-R from
the BSBTA label. Wack whimsy synth, vocoded poetry, lo-fi slices of
shortenin' bread. You also get a pair of previously unreleased,
grittier psychotropitronic statements, assembled from archival stubs
of percussion, peace chants, and pseudo party machine meltdowns.
Limited to 15 copies.

(More stuff's coming out in a couple of weeks. If you want to wait and
order one or both of the above with the forthcoming releases (about
six titles in the next batch), I can hold copies of A.L. and/or
T.E.C.M.O. for you (not that our releases ever sell out super
quickly... I'd be, ahem, Stunned if they did!) It'll save you on
shipping.
////////// SOON (I'M ANNOUNCING A FEW OF 'EM HERE FOR THE FIRST TIME)
The aforementioned batch will definitely include Matthew Riley, Mold
Omen, Bury My Heart, and mono volumen. Additionally, at least some of
these will (try to be) be ready: Anders Thode, Twin Polygamists,
Solquest, The Child of a Creek, The Big Drum in the Sky Religion (a
single 75 minute beast of a track!), Bruno Duplant & Paulo Chagas
(P.C. is from P.R.E.C.), Hvasseline (amazing Danish oddball lo-fi doo-
wop ballads)...
A few MP3s previews - a bit of "everything", at varying volume levels:

////////// LESS THAN SOON, BUT NOT TOO FAR AWAY?
(Details subject to change, but hopefully won't)
- Matomeri / Strongly Imploded split 7"
- Saturn Finger / The Old Rig split 7"
- Small Things on Sundays "Drill" - the first actual A Beard of Snails
12" LP
- Matthew Riley / The Big Drum in the Sky Religion split (tape?)
- Joseph McNulty full length

- Hoping to hear from The Diamond Family Archive, Noon on Neptune,
Psychic Parrot, Rooftales, the artist formerly known as Sensible
Nectar, and a few other unnamed acts soon, so their releases (I have
audio from the first three) can be finalized and issued...
- a CD-R / downloadable compilation of A B of S acts
Oh, and if you're also into less psych/noise-y, more indie pop/rock-
esque stuff, maybe you'll be interested in some of the eccentric pop /
electro/new wave-y bands I recently released through my other
(currently less active, semi-forgotten) label, BSBTA
http://www.bsbta.com
I do plan to upload some weirder/folky-er ("A Beard of Snails
friendly") music from BSBTA's past to
http://bsbta.bandcamp.com for
free (or optional donation) download.
Thanks for reading and listening,
Christian
