Hi all,

After much working (when time and mental energy has allowed it) behind
the scenes, making / remaking decisions, pondering, planning,
perfecting, I am thrilled to finally be able to announce A Beard of
Snails' first release of 2012:

"Strange Mountain" by Strange Mountain

"Hereby, five (three lengthy, two brief) unexpected rainy-day-synth
tunes from Jakarta. With endless warmth in the wires, exuding
nostalgia about the future, this is multi textured, blissful, harmonic
bedsit ambient of the highest order. Covers = artwork affixed to
digipaks, in an unnumbered edition."

The modus operandi for the next little while is indeed "no batches."
Instead, one or two titles at a time... but hopefully once every week!
My feelings are that most of the individual upcoming titles would/
should/will/shall be best presented... individually. (From a visual
standpoint, too.)

So, the next few weeks will indeed be smothered with / in activity!
Here's what we've got planned for March and beyond:

Derek Rogers "Peripetia" (CD-R)
Caligine "Anomia Mediterranea" (CD-R)
Shalocins "Another Hovering Menace" (CD-R)
Black Velvet Stereo "Destroy This Town" (CD-R)
Hvasseline "Ih Uh" (CD-R)
The Super Burritos "Two Monkeys Fight For a Banana" (3")
Spittle Sisters "These Dark Objects" (c37)
Pregnant Spore / nodolby (one-sided LP)

(...in no certain order - some will be more time consuming to assemble
than others; the latter two are in various stages of production at
their respective factories, and could be ready sooner rather than
later - or vice versa.)

By the way, some new tracks (from recent and upcoming releases) are on
Soundcloud.

After all of the above, just five more CD-Rs (Cloud Shepherd, Il
Taglia, 70s Era Pink Floyd [Daniel Smith of Red Electric Rainbow], The
Child of a Creek, and - gasp - a compilation *) before Analogue
becomes King, for Spring/Summer (and beyond) flings: tapes by Brandon
Hurtado, Bjerga/Iversen, Hands of the Small, Rough Ride of Crafts;
split tapes from Troj and Dao De Noize, plus SAIVUS and Carlos
Villena; vinyl featuring Small Things on Sundays, Joseph McNulty,
Richard Neave & Lee Noyes, and Les Chichis / GMC, in addition to a
final 7" split, pairing The End Springs with an artist yet to be
found.

Definitely got at least the next six months covered; a few positive
surprises and/or lengthier delays (vinyl, pro dubbed tapes, money) may
occur...

* The compilation - which is open to submissions from artistes until
March 17 - will be issued on April 1, 2012.

And - no foolin' - this will conveniently be A Beard of Snails
Records' 100th release (not counting our two "side series" - Expulsion
Into Offering and Where I First Laid Ears on You.) Not sure if the CD-
R will be available for purchase "as usual", or only available (at no
extra charge) with the purchase of another item. Or both...

I attempted a comp. to mark the label's 50th, but decided a
subscription series was better. As there are no plans for a new round
of "Where I First Laid Ears...", the upcoming compilation is probably
be the best I'll be able to offer fans of "various artists" this year!

Regards,
Christian
