Dear ABCT Colleagues,

We are thrilled to invite you to join us in New York City on May 16, 2025 for an enriching day of learning, networking, and professional growth with PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy) professionals and enthusiasts from across the Northeast and elsewhere. This year’s conference, Big City, Bigger Connections: PCIT for Strengthening Families, offers a unique opportunity to gain practical insights, connect with peers, and enhance your PCIT skills to benefit the families we support.

Highlights:

- Keynote Presentation: Advancing Equity in Youth Mental Health: A Call for Person-Centered, Culturally Responsive Care
  • Keynote Speaker: Dr. Amanda Sanchez will present her groundbreaking work with the APA Cultural Formulation Interview, aimed at improving mental health care outcomes for historically underserved and minoritized families. She will also introduce a clinician toolkit for enhancing cultural responsiveness in clinical practice, with practical guidance for improving engagement and outcomes in PCIT.
- Engaging Presentations and Posters: Expect a dynamic lineup of clinical workshops, lectures, roundtables, learning games, Pro-Con Debates, and a research-in-brief presentation. We’ll also feature a Poster Session with awards for outstanding posters from students and pre-licensed professionals.

- Submissions: The Submissions Portal is now open for all proposals until December 31, 2024. We welcome submissions on innovative PCIT applications, research, and culturally responsive practices. Detailed submission requirements are available on our portal.

- Early Bird Registration: Register now to secure a 20% discount until March 15, 2025. Early Bird registrants will have priority in selecting breakout sessions, which have limited capacity.

- Sponsorship Opportunities: Sponsors will have tabletop setups to connect with attendees. This is a great way to network, share your organization’s mission, and recruit for your PCIT programs. For sponsorship details, please reach out to pc...@kurtzpsychology.com

We hope to see you in NYC for a conference that promises not only to deepen our PCIT expertise but also to build a stronger network of professionals dedicated to strengthening families. Please feel free to share this announcement with anyone interested in PCIT.

This is the 4th NE Regional PCIT Conference. Some of you may remember the 3rd one - pivoting successfully to all virtual just three weeks after the start of the pandemic! Welcome back to in-person conferences!!! This one is organized by three great practices: Kurtz Psychology, Behavioral Science Institute, and Sheer Psychology.
