New user of ABCD

Good day colleagues

I am have started using ABCD for my organisation's resource centre to do original catalogue and copy cataloguing. I could not create a new database because some files are missing so i am using the existing database Fomato Marc. I am deleting the existing records and the problem is that i cannot renumber the records, is it possible to renumber or do i use it as it is?
