ABCD - Sri Lanka

Thanks, and I will share for sure!

As I mentioned in the inaugural day of the workshop, National Library of Sri Lanka has developed a software called PothgulILS for schools.

The Nat.Library, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education in Sri Lanka has installed this in 50 selected National schools island-wide.

Still I don't have much information, but I wish I can collect some data soon. A success or failure would add more to our knowledge base.

Poorna, which Dr.Egbert mentioned was a virtual integration of individual databases created with Winisis. That also is being used in many libraries in Sri Lanka (See http://www.nsf.ac.lk/purna/users.html).

Am I writing too much...? Sorry for being too vociferous....Thought this information could be useful.
