Dear musician-programmers,

I would like to display short double scores (sol & fa keys) with a line of few chords resulting from my own logic, in a Java frame and Microsoft OS. Which tool do I better choose ? ABC4J, JFugue, JMSL, JMusic, JSyn, LilyPond, MusicXML ? (Does it exist a comparative outline ?)

My main purpose is a score editor : Being able to click with my mouse cursor ...
- on a short double score of a few bars, to get the pointed notes and chords displayed.
- in the empty area under the double score, to edit text (chords names, bass note number, ...)
Also reversely : being able to type the ABC4J music code in a separated edition window and find the result in the double score and empty area.
Should ABC4J offer the necessary API's or something else to achieve this primary goal ?

I visited https://code.google.com/p/abc4j/. Brrrrrrr ... so much to study before being able to decide to adopt it or not. But I did not see classes to write a scrore editor with text underneath by means of the mouse, as well as a music code editor. Does somebody confirm this is possible with ABC4J ?
Could somebody send me an illustration or reference of the closest ABC4J application to mine, and an indication of the existing classes to write them ? If you tell me that the ABC4J API classes to achieve this goal do exist and are close enough to my goal, I'll enguage further in it and join the ABC4J-dev email list.

Outputting the music to the loudspeakers (MIDI) is only secundary feature to me.

Thanks in advance.
