The 2007-2008 Alternative Breaks @ UCSD Site Leader and Collaborative Application is here!!!
 
Please print & fill out the application packet as directed and then return it to:

the AB @ UCSD SOLO Mail Box (# G-65) on the 3 rd floor of Price Center. 

Applications are DUE by WEDNESDAY, MAY 23 rd, 2007 by 5pm.

 
Please make sure to:
  1. Turn in the COMPLETED application packet
  2. ATTACH your tentative class/work/volunteer/sports schedule for Fall 2007
  3. SIGN UP for an INTERVIEW TIME on the sign up sheet in the mailbox when you turn in your application
I apologize for the delay in getting this out to you all.  We have been working on restructuring the Alternative Breaks Collaborative and Program in order to make it run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.  These changes can be noted in the application.  These leadership roles may seem quite intensive, but know that the responsibilities are negotiable.  Please do not be deterred from joining the Alternative Breaks team if you think that the duties are too time consuming.  There are many different ways to participate in and contribute to the Alternative Breaks team! Come talk to us about your situation and your options!  
 
Also, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE forward this application on to any of your friends as well as along to any other organizations you are involved in, ANYONE you think would be remotely interested in leading a trip and/or becoming part of the Alternative Breaks team.  We are looking for dedicated, capable, and enthusiastic students to carry on the Alternative Breaks torch next year and would like to find the most qualified people for the job! 
 
And as always, please don't hesitate to contact me with any of your questions, comments, concerns, or ANYTHING else that you may need (like HUGS! for example... =o) ).  I LOVE hearing from you!!!

Hey Andrea, you mentioned something about a scholarship for continuing
service at the AB presentation but I've e-mailed Julia about it with no
response and couldn't find any info on the web. Is that something that is
still happening/available or is it way past the deadline. Please let me
know because I'm very interested. Thanks!

Hey Collin,

I believe you are talking about the SOLO service award.  There were like 5 different awards, on of which was started by Chapin and Melissa (our AB@UCSD community advisors).  Unfortunately, the deadline to apply was May 4th and I know that they are not accepting late applications...  Sorry!  Hope you get a chance to try next year!
