NOTES FROM MANAGER: Candidates need to have recent and extensive PM experience. Teradata is not required, but must have Data Warehouse experience (recent). This position will report to an SVP that is directly tied to merger activities with Wachovia. Comm skills must be at a 10+ and references are REQUIRED.
Job Description Technical Project Manager
Direct and monitor all activities for medium to large, medium to high risk, major technology-based projects from initiation to delivery. Lead project teams and manage activities associated with projects that typically cross platforms, applications, and/or business lines. Work with business partners to understand problems, develop requirements, develop technology concepts, design alternatives, project schedules, and costs for new systems initiatives. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets and run regular project status meetings. Provide consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, significant issue management and resolution, and communication with business lines and technology management levels.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years technical project management experience. Large-scale data warehouse business intelligence and CRM experience. Large-scale RDBMS experience, preferably Teradata. Experience with reporting tools (Microstrategy) and Microsoft office products. Excellent relationship building and client partnering skills. Strong project management abilities focused on successful and timely execution. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with team members at all levels. Ability to work independently, handle several projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively. |
