Rate: $50/hr all inclusive
SQL Data Analyst/Reporting Specialist
Education and Experience
· Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field
- 3-5 years experience as a Data Analyst with experience in Data Warehouse architecture and analysis, data integration (ETL), as well as conceptual, logical, and physical data design
- Strong working knowledge of ETL design and implementation with MS SQL DTS/Integration Services
- Advanced T-SQL skills and experience using SQL Server 2000 & 2005
- Strong working knowledge of data warehousing methodologies, architectures, and best practices
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Access a plus
- Working knowledge of VB.Net a plus
- Working knowledge of Crystal Reports a plus
- Experience with Service Center reporting a plus
- Solid understanding of web technologies and multi-tier applications
- Advanced analytical, mathematical, and creative problem solving skills
- Ability to develop standards, processes, and procedures
· Business acumen, excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills required
· Ability to work with the business community in an analyst-to-solution role
· Ability to work well in both team and independent environments, gather information from business end-users, and conduct and lead meetings
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the extraction, transformation, and population of data files and databases using MS SQL Server DTS/SSIS, Excel, and other Microsoft technologies
- Support current SQL/VB.Net/Excel/Crystal reporting solutions
- Develop and implement policies, protocols, criteria, and systems
- Participate in training and customer support processes
- Determine and document analytic techniques, methods, and tools
- Support various ad hoc analysis and reporting initiatives
- Demonstrate professional behavior and teamwork, punctuality, dependability and adherence to company policies and procedures
- Act as a positive role model and customer focused professional delivering effective business solutions
General Summary
The Data Analyst/Reporting Specialist's role is to support the reporting needs
of various business units, including existing ETL and reporting processes using
a combination of Microsoft technologies (such as SQL Server, SQL, Access,
VB.Net, and Excel).
