I recently purchased a Samsung Smart TV. I want to watch Big Sky Conference Basketball games using the link to web sites on the TV. I am able to access the "Watch Big Sky" web site and get all the way along the system to the correct game and the screen to watch it. When the game comes on and I try to get it up on the screen, I get a screen message that says I need Adobe Flash Player to watch the game itself.

I work for city government and we have an issue viewing our city meetings through a government portal that needs flash to play on our digital signage smart TV's. and for the same reason, our own government content cannot be played in our city hall. ( we have a digital signage workaround in place but it is going to cost alot for the players and licensing).

I understand this issue is because of the browser that comes with Samsung smart TV's, but isn't it possible to build a player enabled app for smart TV's? Adobe is pretty crafty and I am sure you have a couple good programmers who could lead the charge on this! (and quite possibly corner the smart TV browser market!)

There is no alternative, as there is no Flash Player for Samsung or any other TV. Flash Player is only available for desktop systems (Tech specs Adobe Flash Player ) If you want to view Flash content on your TV, the option is to connect your computer to your TV (via HDMI cable) and view it that way.

You don't need adobe flash for the samsung... go to the apps and activate the app you want to view such as hbogo. You will get a pin but you have to enter the hbogo activation website through your computer while you have the tv pin on the screen, once activated in this manner you will be able to view the shows without adobe flash player

I think the OP is trying to watch a feed through a website in the samsung smart TV browser. for embedded video, you need adobe flash player (or other player, like quicktime) to view the videos but the browser that currently comes with the TV cannot support flash because it is a computer program and not something that can be installed into the browser APP like an extension on a computer...

As I mentioned previously in this thread (posts 15,17, and 37), any Flash Player updates for Smart TVs, if available, would come from the manufacturer, not Adobe, and certainly not from some random website asking you to complete a survey before providing you with a file. Please contact your Smart TVs manufacturer support for assistance.

Hi Everyone in reguards to this topic. We the buyer are currently out of luck. according to a live chat I just had with a samsung rep. it is currently not possible to download the upgrade to the flash player to our smart tvs. When I ask if this would be corrected soon, I was told that it MAY be corrected via a firmware update but they could not say for sure or if so when that might occur.

Visitor: I am also sorry then as we will be sending this back. The ability to connect to the internet to play tv/ as well as all other media was a BIG part of why we choose to upgrade to blu-ray at all.

Visitor: It has web browser....I got to the site on the blu-ray afterall...but the site will not allow play of its content it gives a message saying that my device needs to download a newer version of adobe flash player.

This is all crap. Adobe says it's the TV manufacturer and Samsung, LG and other say it's Adobe. They're throwing balls at each other, confusing the heck out of us the buyers. I bought a smart TV, specifically to stream my cable from the provider website and not have to connect cable box and wires and stuff. Only to know that my smart TV browser will not support Flash. You go to the store, they tell you if you don't have the app, you can stream from browser. TV support people say Adobe is not providing updates to smart TVs anymore. You ask Adobe, they tell you it's the TV factory that controls what's allowable. CRAP!! It's all about money, making you download apps, or buy others devices. Why not make Flash site specific on smart TV at least and save us the B.S.

Hi! I am having the same problems and it is now 2014. I contacted my cable tv company and spoke to 3 people who told me since Adobe is a third party, there is nothing they can do. I contacted Samsung who told me there is nothing they can do because the tv is updated. And now I see others have been having the same problem going back to 2012. Any solutions yet?

I have Samsung Smart TV. i could not view some web video in web it say to update flash player . Could you please send me SmartFlash as compressed file . I could not get SmartFlash from it website when i click download button nothing happen.

Can someone post, send or put up in dropbox or google drive the file? I have tried getting the file by filling out survey after survey from smarttvflash.com but It never sends me to download page to download item. Please email to [removed personal information]

I bought this galaxy tablet for my daughters class work, all was fine until the screen asked that we could not continue without installing flash player. I looked at the list from Adobe and the tablet is listed to be a stable unit with flash player. When i try to download the flash player the Adobe website that my unit does not support Adobe flash.

I was able to get flash running on my galaxy tab. I can stream flash videos and play flash games on my browser. You have to sideload adobe flash first and then use a flash supported browser like firefox. This might help: -flash-galaxy-tab/

After trying to play streaming video from the Major League Soccer site, I encountered the same problem. Samsung's TV browser doesn't support Adobe Flash Player -- which is ridiculous. Not at all happy about it. Followed the internet tutorial to download SmartTVFlash player. Then, I wasted like an hour out of my life trying to get to the download link, filling out surveys, being told my zip code was invalid, filling out other surveys, signing up for "free trials" for Rhapsody and something else, both of which I'm going to have to cancel before I get charged -- and never got the "free" download link. Honestly, I'd have been happier just dropping $20 bucks for an installer that works. I suspect it's a scam, especially since there is no contact link.

Per the comment above, I contacted Samsung support. The say the issue is there' is no contract with Adobe, so it remains unsupported. There is no software they can send you to install. They only send thumb drives for people who have no web access at all -- but there's nothing they can send you that will play flash video. Really makes me wonder if I should return my TV to Best Buy, and buy a brand that isn't so blindly stupid to provide such a useless browser.

The other option, I guess, is to attach some other device, maybe Apple TV, though I suppose you could do the same thing with the Fire Stick and the like -- that would use its own proprietary browser that isn't so ridiculous. I might do that.Or, I'll return the TV...because I'm that mad about this.

Can someone post, send or put up in drop box or google drive the file? I have called the support center but unfortunately i did not get sufficient help or any solutions. I also tried getting the file by filling out survey after survey from smarttvflash.com but It never sends me to download page to download the flash. I am at my witsend with this issue!!! Somebody help! Please email to [removed personal information]

I've had no success with smarttvflash.com and the run around has become stifling. I am at wits end. Is there any hope that someone would be kind enough to email me the file. Please email to [removed personal information]

I also would appreciate someone sending me the file for the flash update at [removed personal information]. Thank you very much, I spent 30 minutes on a chat line with Samsung where they insisted there was no problem and the flash player could not be updated

sorry I never got a copy, and in addition from my research on the Samsung tv I don't believe it would work-- what we need is Samsung to send out a firmware update. You can help by writing to the CEO and detailing the issue. I also am writing and have also found that I cannot mirror my computer which is one of the functions that I really wanted. This mirroring issue is also related to Samsung using non standard software

I have the same problem and it's December 2015. I wanted to watch Hulu and couldn't due to the issue of the flash update update not downloading, I called, they said there is nothing they can do, none of the Samsung tv's are capable of streaming video from the internet, that we have to use the saved applications such as Netflix, HULU PLUS, etc, This is very disappointing, we tried log in in my hulu account but it only allows HULU PLUS subscribers to log in, I WILL BE RETURNING MY TV NEXT WEEK

All my research says that you cannot update the flash player without a firmware update from Samsung. I think we need a lawyer on this subject to file a lawsuit to help us as a group. Samsung seems to interested in insider trading and stealing intelectual property rights from iphone to waste their time providing a good product to their customers.

Do you know if there is any other tv brand that have access to the flash player updates or that doesn't present any issues with online streaming? Count me in to file a complain or whatever is needed to solve this issue

Do Not go to the page "Smart TV Flash Player Download" and try to download anything. This is a malicious website, and all you will end up doing is filling out endless surveys, and getting on spam email lists when you enter your email. It is absolutely worthless.

Herein lies the root cause of this issue. The websites you are trying to view should be using HTML5 players instead of Flash. Flash will soon be obsolete, as indicated by Youtube now using HTML5 viewer.
