The only retail wireless adapters currently supported by Intel are the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 + Bluetooth for Desktop, and the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 Desktop Kit. These retail products are intended to be installed in Desktop PC with the antennas bundled in the box. They are not intended for wireless adapter upgrade in laptop PC."
I'm confused though ... people upgrade their laptops with different cards all the time. The link at the bottom for instance, many people used the 8265 in a laptop. Can you just give me a little more detail, I've been literally trying to figure this out for 8 hours. I'm going to order the original killer 1535 and im guessing that will work? I'll send you a 9260 for your trouble... I have two useless ones. So intel doesnt make wifi cards for laptops anymore?
Other than COMPLETELY removing all wireless adapter drivers, and Installing the latest from Intel, I have no suggestions. I would download the latest driver (FROM INTEL ONLY) and try that. Also, make sure you have the latest bios installed for your laptop. Check with the manufacturer on the proper procedure for doing a bios update and then reset to default.

I recently acquired a Dell WD15 USB-C dock and am trying to use it with my MSI GS63VR 7RF to make it easier to switch between it and my work computer. The dock works great for extending to my monitor, however I'm getting a lot of lag issues with the mouse and keyboard. The mouse will lag for a second or 2 and basically "skip" across the screen. The keyboard will sometimes not register keystrokes, or will repeat the last keystroke 15-20 times.
I've tried the following with no luck:
I believe I have identified the problem. For some reason, the WD15 dock did not like me using the two rear USB 2.0 ports for my keyboard, and the rear USB 3.0 port for my mouse. When disconnecting the keyboard, the mouse worked fine. I now have the keyboard connected to a USB hub, and that hub connected to one of the rear USB 2.0 ports, and the mouse connected to the other USB 2.0 port. This appears to be working with no lag on either the keyboard or mouse.
I am having the exact same issue with a WD19S dock. I appreciate what you discovered and I am going to try it. However, it hardly seems like a adequate solution for the future, rather a work around. I think Dell needs to investigate the issue, it has apparently been happening since the WD15. What say you Dell technicians?
Same issue as well. I haven't tried changing the ports like OP mentioned, I'm just hard-wiring my USB KM switch directly to the laptop. But I agree Dell really needs to look into a fix for this. Currently, the only "official" solution appears to be to make sure all drivers are up to date. Did that and the problem got ten times worse; instead of losing the keyboard every couple of minutes before the update, now the keyboard drops out every ten seconds or so. I have had so many issues with Dell docks, if it weren't employer-issued, I'd chuck this thing.
If i use the 3 usb ports in the dock (i am using 1 basic wired keyboard, one basic wired mouse and a Jabra wired headset), i get lag/temporary hanging of all 3 usb connected devices intermittently. I can 100% reproduce the error by opening the Teams app or the Dxdiag app.
I have the same problem. I have a new Latitude 7320 and cannot get the USB ports to work without lag on various docks. Mouse, keyboard, camera and headsets are all affected. My previous Latitude 7290 worked perfectly. The single onboard USB port works fine, but all the ports on the dock (front and rear) do not. I currently have a TB16, but had the same problem with a WD19 and a third party Thunderbolt dock. I believe it must be an issue with the Laptop Thunderbolt ports (both have the same issue). We need Dell to resolve this.
It has been so long I can't even tell you if this got resolved through an update or the way I have the dock configured. However, I have not had the issue in almost 2 years. Also, we have always been using the power supply that was shipped with the dock, which I assume Dell deems adequate.

Hi Tried to update driver on WD Passport Ultra 2TB still not recognizing the drive on USB3.
Drive not found under control panel, cable SEVERAL CABLES tested. Conclusion
is that the WD Passport Ultra 2TB cannot run on several USB3!
I checked even computer disk management but no sign of any external devices there. of course I tried many options like updating bios, hardware driver update , USB port changing ,checked registry value of ports, download Western Digital My passport drivers, repair system files with specified software which users recommended in forums but none of them respond.
Was there ever a solve for this? Have a MyPassport that worked fine with USB3.0 ports and on Windows 10 until last month. Have tried all the typical suggestions, right down to updating chipset firmware which solved it for one round of being plugged in then back to only being able to be used through USB 2.0 ports.
I registered just to answer this. for me it was the cable. My WD Passport Ultra 3TB drive worked on some computer, but wont be recognized at all on others. Then I changed the cable from my other WD Elements (USB 3.0 also) drive and voila! It is recognized on the computers where it wasnt. So if you have a similar issue, try to get another wd cable and try it with that!
I have all drivers updated on my HP EliteBook 1050 G1. Some of the drivers are newer, because I updated them using Intel Driver & Support Assitant. There were other drivers for elite dock station and universal station installed. I got the same error for the Audio Top DSP as you.
